Lost your Quicktime export options?

If you updated to the latest version of Quicktime you lost some of your export options like Sorenson (You take the good with the bad with the beneficent dictatorship that is Apple UI design). To get it back…

  1. Go to System Preferences on the Mac or Control Panel on Windows
  2. Click on Quicktime
  3. Click the Advanced Tab
  4. Check Show Legacy Encoders

running QT 7.3.1 on Mac OS 10.4.1 and “show legacy encoders” is not an option under the advanced tab.
was worth a try though as i’ve lost the “uncompressed 8 and 10 bit” encoders since
    upgrading.
all other codecs show up, however.
