- Go to System Preferences on the Mac or Control Panel on Windows
- Click on Quicktime
- Click the Advanced Tab
- Check Show Legacy Encoders

running QT 7.3.1 on Mac OS 10.4.1 and “show legacy encoders” is not an option under the advanced tab.
was worth a try though as i’ve lost the “uncompressed 8 and 10 bit” encoders since
upgrading.
all other codecs show up, however.
